Life changing empowerment
Maxlife foundation in her quest to bridge the widening gap of social inequalities and to promote a more equitable society, yesterday 13th April, 2018 embarked on a life-changing financial empowerment–where the cash prize of N300,000.000 was doled out to 7 promising entrepreneurs with the best business plans at Shanahan hall Basilica Of The Most Holy Trinity, Onitsha Anambra State.
In line with the foundation’s philosophy of indulging massively in human capital development other than promoting Charity, it became paramount to ensure the money is utilized judiciously. Hence the business plan strategy was adopted to scrutinize the participants motivations and competence.
The programme began with the opening prayer and remarks by the Chairman of the foundation, Rev. Fr. Donald Uzoh. In the chairman’s remark, he extolled her excellency’s unique qualities which accentuates her above her political contemporaries. He recounted her excellency’s numerous empowerment programmes that ranges from education, financial and other humanitarian services. He extols her philanthropic programmes which are not political motivated while admonishing the participants to participants and other present to be careful while electing their representatives.
Others who spoke at the programme includes two representatives of Arch-research Institute from University Of Nigeria Nsukka, which was the institute that graded the business plan written by the participants. One of the representative while address the participants, explained the proper structural content of a business plan.
After their address, the participants with the best business plans were called out, and their cash price handed over by the chairman of the foundation. The climax of the whole event was when one Mrs Nkeiruka Igweike who was physically challenged was called up to her greatest chagrin. She danced and praised God for the life changing experience.
The participants thank her Excellency Princess Stella Oduah, for her kind gesture and effective representative. They all expressed gratitude and good wishes to Her Excellency.
